PROBLEM: The current website did not have an area where users could find news, press releases and events about the school and the several campuses.
HYPOTHESIS: I believe that if the marketing site included an area of the site that would be updated with news, events and press related stories on a daily basis, this would raise the school's SEO value and overall engagement from potential students looking to attend events on campus before applying.
SOLUTION: An area of the site called the 'Newsroom' section was added to the site using a blog CMS system to be easily updated by the news team.
RESULTS: Pages per session from locations increased by 7%, time on site increased by 14%.
MY ROLE: I was tasked with coming up with a solution to the problem that the news team had trouble keeping the site up to date, and that students didn't have good access to this information. I wireframed a newsroom solution to present to stakeholders and the web development team to begin production, I then managed the project to completion and trained the newsroom team on the new CMS implemented for them.
